Although the advent of ERP companies like SAP, BAAN and Oracle was a step in the right direction, it was prohibitively expensive to implement these branded ERP’s in the SME (Small Medium Enterprise) segment. India being a developing nation, it was always impossible to entertain such brands for the Indian market. This is where the advent of Indian ERP Companies minimized this problem to a large extent. Indian ERP companies were primarily meant and designed for the SME market, although they catered to the larger corporations too. But, the focal point of Indian ERP companies was the SME segment, which was efficient and affordable.
